Job Description
Ipsun Solar is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Solar Site Surveyor to join our team. The Solar Site Surveyor will be responsible for conducting site assessments for potential solar installations, ensuring accurate data collection and site evaluation. This role is crucial for designing efficient and effective solar energy systems tailored to each specific site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit residential, commercial, and industrial sites to perform comprehensive surveys.
- Assess roof conditions, structural integrity, shading, and other site-specific factors affecting solar panel installation.
- Use tools and equipment to measure roof dimensions, angles, and obstructions.
- Capture detailed site data, including photographs, measurements, and notes.
- Use GPS, drones, and other technology to gather precise data.
- Document all findings in detailed reports.
- Communicate effectively with property owners and site managers to explain the survey process and answer any questions.
- Provide preliminary information about the benefits and requirements of solar energy systems.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to interpret survey data.
- Assist in creating accurate site plans and layouts for solar installations.
- Identify potential challenges and recommend solutions.
- Ensure all surveys comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during site visits.
- Prepare and submit detailed site survey reports and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of site visits and data collected.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in solar surveying, construction, or related field is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using survey tools, GPS, and relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
Pay: $22-25 /hr based upon experience
