POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss’ Solar Project Engineer, Engineering Management, will be responsible for assisting in the management of project electrical, civil, and mechanical designs for our Utility Scale Solar Panel projects. This position will have the opportunity to grow and support the success of the pre-construction team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Learning to understand project electrical designs including single line drawings, DC and AC wiring diagrams, electrical site plans and equipment layouts
  • Learning all supporting calculations of solar power plant design, including PV string sizing, DC and AC conductor & conduit sizing, and tracker design & powering
  • Meet with customers as required and provide engineering support including responding to RFIs
  • Assisting engineering manager in coordinating meetings and taking detailed meeting minutes
  • Responsible for document control for the design phase of the project lifecycle
  • Assisting the engineering manager on tracking schedule dates and critical design items
  • Responsible for initial review of design drawings and markups
  • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical field or related discipline
  • Must have great attitude in working with the Moss team
  • Eager to learn new engineering scopes outside of specific focus area
  • Solar electrical systems background is a plus
  • Good communications and presentation skills including the ability to organize and present complex technical information effectively in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
