We are looking for a hardworking and motivated individual looking for a career. The ideal person will have experience and an understanding of construction and solar, an outstanding work ethic, as well as having excellent communication and management skills.

In this role you will organize, lead and manage the completion of projects from contract signing to full job completion. You will be responsible for the planning and permitting for all projects. Projects are to be managed to ensure they are on time, under budget and within scope of the signed contract, all the while ensuring there is constant and effective communication with customers and the ALIVE Solar and Roofing teams.

Responsibilities

Effectively manage all aspects of the customer workflow of the project to drive productivity and ensure the customer receives stellar service.

Creating and submitting plan requests to the engineering department and monitor their progress. Making corrections and updates to the plans when needed.

Apply for permits from each jurisdiction, tracking their progress and following up when needed.

Provide customers with design schematics, pre-construction evaluations, installation timeframes and system authorization status.

Monitor status of projects and proactively follow up to keep them moving.

Address issues and obstacles that may arise and find practical solutions in the implementation phase of projects.

Assist sales team with quoting and design.

Schedule crews on a regular basis and solve logistics and communication issues.

Prepare material and equipment orders for each project.

Effectively maintain project documentation requirements.

Assist solar manager with managing his email inboxes, calendar, schedule and ensure he is updated on the status of all jobs.

Actively participate in monthly morning safety meetings.

Actively participate in biweekly production team meetings to improve project flow.

Maintain consistent and appropriate interface with customer throughout construction phase maintaining good customer relations at all times.

Maintain excellent lines of communication with co-workers and customers.

Receive incoming calls and route to correct team member.

Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Possess familiarity with electrical and building codes.

Two years of experience in the construction field, preferably in solar.

Two years of experience in a customer service role.
Have a strong work ethic, high level of professionalism with strong attention to detail.
Have excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills and basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and manage fast moving work schedule.
Have excellent people skills, able to manage customer concerns.

Preferred qualifications

Experience obtaining building permits from various municipalities.

Experience in BuilderTrend Project Management software

Physical Demands
Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine/gross motor skills including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, pinching, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
