Job Description

eEquals, a leading solar installation company dedicated to bringing clean energy to communities, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Residential Solar Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of solar equipment and materials for residential projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.

Description

Responsibilities:
  • Establish relationships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers for solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and other essential components.
  • Manage the procurement process, from issuing purchase orders to ensuring on-time delivery and quality control of solar products.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to secure the best possible deals while maintaining product quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure adequate stock is available for upcoming projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in solar energy to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with field operations management, design, and installation teams to ensure procured materials meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and certifications for all purchased products.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Experience in residential solar projects is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of solar equipment, technology, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and certifications in the solar industry.
  • A passion for clean energy and a desire to contribute to sustainability efforts (a plus).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
The targeted compensation for this role is between $60,000 and $70,000, however, it may vary depending on location. Illinois compensation expectations are between $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
