Solar & ESS Technicians

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and Maintain Solar Power & ESS Plants: Responsible for operating and maintaining commercial, industrial, and utility solar power and energy storage systems (ESS) in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensures safety and professionalism throughout Illinois.

2. Electrical Troubleshooting and Testing: Diagnose electrical components using digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment. Test installed equipment to ensure proper working order, including daily mechanical and electrical inspections.

3. Maintenance Inspections and Reporting: Perform progress, mc, sc, and preventative maintenance inspections. Provide thorough reporting on maintenance activities.

4. Preventive Maintenance on Solar Panels and Battery Systems: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment.

5. Drone and Infrared Thermography Inspections: Utilize sUAS (drone) and handheld infrared thermography for inspections (job training as needed).

6. Accurate Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of O&M activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.

7. Documentation Management: Responsible for managing documentation, including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of O&M experience in commercial or utility-scale solar
• 2+ years of electrical experience
• SCADA experience
• Valid US driver’s license
