Job Description

SOLAR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED – ADDITIONAL TRAINING PROVIDED

We are looking for a reliable crew member with some previous solar experience to help us complete rooftop and ground mounted solar projects in Wisconsin, with inventory centralized out of the Madison area.

If you have little to no solar experience, be sure to include if you have construction experience with your application.

We pay for reliable performance. Earn a raise after successful 30 days.

Compensation + Benefits:

  • Earn a solid hourly wage to start and earn raises at different tiers of experience
  • Crew Members start between $20/hour and $22/hour* *= based on experience
  • Benefits 1st of the month following 30 days may be an option depending on PT or FT status

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years construction experience: roofing, framing, drywall, etc.
  • Solar experience is highly preferred
  • Valid drivers license and insurance eligible MVR is required
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Communicate well via your smartphone
  • Provide your own basic hand tools: ex: battery powered impact, drill, toolbelt, etc. Full list will be provided.

Crew Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties solo and collaborate with the greater operations team as needed to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs and ground mounted systems
  • Maintain a high quality of installation resulting in a consistently high inspection pass rate
  • Help to prepare and clean van for installs happening the next day making sure everything is neat and organized
  • Service customer solar systems as needed (service orders)
  • Maintain high levels of safety for yourself and your fellow crew members
  • Live the Skyline Values
  • Professionally communicate with customers and all internal Skyline team members

Physical Requirements:

  • Work at heights and on steep roofs
  • Lift 50 lbs frequently, lift 70+ lbs occasionally
  • Work outdoors in wide range of weather conditions and at heights
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Stand for 6-10 hours per day
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
