SOLAR CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR

QCELLS Enable is the EPC branch of Qcells for the Commercial, Industrial, Distributed Generation, and Small Utility Scale solar markets. Our mission is to provide world class design and installation of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US.  Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we can offer end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers.  We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently in our Teaneck, New Jersey headquarters.

Position Overview

TheSolarConstruction Administrator isresponsibleforsupporting the construction department with general coordination and administrative support across Qcells Enable’s current/expanding portfolio of solar projects.This individual must be highly organized, technologically proficient, and able to prioritize tasks to best support the team.The Project/Construction Administrator will report to the Director of Construction.

This position location will be Remote with travel to project location requirements.Up to 25% travel.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Director of Construction, Regional Managers and Site Superintendents to help achieve project goals
  • Create, organize and maintain databases as needed
  • Interface with construction team regarding temporary labor requirements and be the Agencies Point of Contact
  • Manage temporary labor databases, schedules, purchase orders, timesheets and invoices
  • Manage per diem program and coordinate with employees, HR , and management as needed
  • Assist with project mobilization priorities including rentals, tools and basic amenity coordination
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and procurement to support construction teams
  • Assist with vehicle program administration as needed
  • Assist with prevailing wage administration as needed
  • Interface regularly with project management and accounting/finance team
  • Assist with construction meeting creation and document meeting minutes
  • Assist with basic IT issues for the construction team as needed, act as liaison between IT team and field personnel
  • Interface with safety and quality team as needed
  • Completing any tasks assigned by the Director of Construction in an efficient and timely manner

Required Qualifications

  •  Associates or Bachelors (preferred) Degree
  • General interest/enthusiasm to participate in solar industry
  • Highly autonomous/self-directed, highlyorganized,detail-oriented and excellent collaborator/communicatorwithapassionforensuringprojectsproceedefficientlyandeffectively
  • 2+yearsofexperiencein a solar, project or construction administrative/coordinator/support role
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of applications including Project and Sharepoint
  • Strong experience using Procore construction management software
  • Familiarwithstandardconstructionconcepts,practices,andprocedures(solar preferred)
  • Abilitytomultitask, prioritize, and be proactive in a high-production environment
  • Abilitytofollowdirectionsandtakeinitiativewhenrequired

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION

The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located traveling to different job sites, but with frequent visits to Teaneck, NJ is $ 27,00 – $33,00 per hour.

The above-listed salary range is required by the New York Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Teaneck, NJ. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

EXAMPLES OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.) Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
  • Requires repetitive movement.

  • Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
  • Potential exposure to chemical substances
  • Work performed around hazardous equipment.
