We are seeking a dedicated Site Lead to manage multiple utility-scale solar farms and battery storage projects across Texas. The Site Lead will ensure high standards in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices while overseeing the technical and operational functions of the power plants. Responsibilities include managing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contractors and supporting commissioning activities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administrative tasks for multiple large-scale renewable energy generation sites.
- Manage site personnel, including operations and maintenance contractors and equipment suppliers, to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Provide support and supervision to third-party maintenance contractors in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and operations to maximize safety and efficiency.
- Maintain positive relationships with landowners, suppliers, customers, vendors, service providers, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
- Contribute to the development of internal operating policies, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering or high school diploma with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Minimum three (3) years supervising technical and O&M teams in the solar industry.
- At least ten (10) years in operations and maintenance roles.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage substation equipment and solar power technologies.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.
- Experience as a team lead is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with SEL, GE protection relays, and RTAC systems is a plus.
