Job Description

A mission driven Global Leader in independent engineering for the renewable energy industry, is hiring for the Performance Engineering team of their Solar Advisory group.

They are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to provide performance engineering analysis, with a focus on operational “online” solar assets.

The scope of work will cross a full range of disciplines from solar photovoltaics, data science, atmospheric science, and computer science.

This is a full-time role, offered remote in the US, with some expected travel to site. (av. 20%)

The salary offered is expected to be between $100,000 – $130,000 commensurate on experience. (+ Bonus and benefits)

With the core objective being to complete high-quality renewable energy analysis work, the day-to-day duties include:

– Conducting full reports and presenting results to customers and other interested parties

– Ensuring that all company quality control standards are met

– Support business development activities, including collaborating on work, presenting at conferences, and attending Client/Customer meetings

– Support the development of internal systems and processes to ensure best practice within the global team

The skills that you will bring to this position:

• A Bachelor’s of Science degree in Science, Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or Statistics. Master’s Degree is a preferred

• 5-8 years of related solar energy experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working directly with customers to develop scopes of work and to present technical results/findings

• Thorough working knowledge of programming language(s) for use in statistics and data analysis in Python and R is highly desirable.

• SCADA analysis of discrete event, time series, and plant performance assessment

• Heavily detail orientated
