Solar Impact is looking for an experienced site superintendent to oversee commercial solar installations.
Overview:
The Site Superintendent ensures projects are delivered successfully and on time. In this position, you will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to define project needs; oversee team performance; monitor projects from planning to completion, including budget and schedule; follow quality standards; and ensure the safety and security of the construction site.
This position requires out-of-town travel and overnight stays.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $75,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, etc. to determine project needs
- Requisition project materials and equipment per Materials Management Process
- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Plan installation processes
- Track costs and ensure the project is on budget
- Supervise and hold the team accountable, provide constructive feedback as needed
- Manage subcontractors on-site
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards
- Keep track of material stock, orders, and equipment on-site
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
- Communicate with the office to resolve on-site issues and emergencies
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines applicable to construction job sites
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
- A strong understanding of solar installation operations and processes is essential
- Must be certified in forklift operation
- Proficiency in MS Office and/or iOS
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to lead and inspire the project team
- Must be willing and able to travel out of town for up to 5 days at a time
