Job Summary:

The Senior Project Developer will lead and manage the development of wind energy projects from conception through construction and operation. This position is responsible for identifying and securing new project opportunities, managing development processes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver successful wind energy projects that align with the company’s strategic goals and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of new wind project opportunities.
• Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and resource assessments.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, zoning, and land use requirements.
• Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure timely permitting and approvals.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, government officials, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of project managers, developers, and support staff.
• Develop and manage project budgets and financial models.
• Secure project financing and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on wind energy.
• Proven track record of successfully developing, permitting, and constructing wind energy projects.
• In-depth knowledge of the wind energy industry, including technology, market trends, and regulatory environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and project financing.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, project management software, GIS).
