Senior Project Developer

Role: Senior Project Developer (Maryland DG Experience Required)

Location: Remote

Compensation: $140-180k base + 30-40% annual bonus

Company

Our client is a key developer in the Solar PV market, leading the charge in the clean energy transition. They have a 2GW project portfolio across 50 developments and are looking to bring on a senior project development manager with significant market experience in PJM. You will be responsible for leading Distributed Generation projects from inception to completion, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project construction.

Role

The Community Solar Project Developer will manage the development pipeline, working across all activities required to take a project from site control to NTP. The ideal candidate will come in and hit the ground running, continuing to advance their project development expertise with a well-established and strategically focused company in an emerging solar market.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire land/sites for community solar development.
• Collaborate with land, policy, design, and finance teams to successfully manage the overall project cycle.
• Coordinate environmental due diligence, feasibility studies, and financial analysis.
• Secure necessary permit approvals and coordinate with grid integration utility partners.
• Conduct market and regulatory research.

Skills/Experience

• 3+ years’ experience developing renewable energy projects within PJM. (MD, VA, PA preferred).
• Expertise in developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous experience taking DG solar projects from site control to NTP.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pace environment.
• A willingness to travel is required.
