Job Description

GridX is seeking an innovative Senior Product Marketing Manager to improve our company’s product positioning and competitiveness. As Senior Product Marketing Manager, your duties will include analyzing competitor behavior, identifying market trends, differentiating our products, engaging with customers/prospects and ultimately increasing our market share.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product team, both to understand the strategic direction of our platform/products and to influence the direction of the roadmap through your understanding of the market and buyer needs. 
  • Work cross-functionally to define and develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for our products.
  • Regularly engage with customers to refine target segments, personas and pain points for each solution.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our competitors to inform product development, pricing and marketing activities. Also use those insights to help us further differentiate GridX from competitors.
  • Create and maintain product positioning and messaging by understanding the market and the challenges our key buyer personas face in solving complex rate analytics and customer engagement challenges.
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on these learnings.
  • Enable the sales teams at all levels on our value proposition and messaging. Develop and maintain messaging guides, marketing slicks, sales decks, videos and a range of other content that accelerates the sales cycle and conveys our unique value proposition.
  • Establish a level of proficiency in our products that allows you to lead demos for prospects and customers (upsell).
  • Work closely with regional marketing and sales teams to make sure their field plans are infused with rich knowledge about our solutions, target markets and buyers.
  • Act as a primary thought leader externally, including speaking engagements and written works.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of marketing experience, preferably in the energy/utility space
  • Product marketing experience from the enterprise software or SaaS sectors
  • Exceptional writing, communication and project management skills
  • Operates at a tactical and strategic level
  • Ability to support multiple products simultaneously
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, fast-growing, ever-changing environment
  • Self-starter; able to determine own path to success, rather than needing extensive direction
  • A desire to try new things…how people get info is constantly changing, and we need to meet folks where they are
  • Ability to travel, up to 15%

Compensation

Compensation is based on your specific location, and, for this position, may range from $140,000 to $180,000/year base salary + benefits/perks. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on skill set, qualifications, experience and location.
