Senior Director of Capital Markets (Renewables)

About the Company: Our client is a leading clean energy company focused on solar and energy storage projects. They are dedicated to fighting climate change by investing in and developing renewable energy projects across the United States. So far, they have invested over $1 billion across 30 states.

You will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and lead important financing deals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure Funding: Find and build relationships with potential investors and financial partners to fund new and existing projects.
• Manage Deals: Lead the planning, negotiation, and closing of financing agreements, working with legal teams and consultants as needed.
• Develop Financial Models: Create detailed financial plans and reports to support investment decisions and demonstrate project value.
• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior team members, helping them develop strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Strategic Planning: Evaluate different financing options to ensure the best returns and support the company’s strategic goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in investment banking, energy sector finance, or similar fields.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis, especially using Excel.
• Proven experience in closing complex financing deals, including tax equity and debt financing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership experience with the ability to train and oversee staff.
