SCADA Engineer

Job Title: SCADA Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Hybrid, Arizona

Travel: up to 25%

Responsibilities:

• Implement SCADA systems for projects under the direction of the SCADA Architect.
• Program and commission SCADA systems within project deadlines.
• Design and develop new screens and features to meet project specifications.
• Provide timely customer support for current and past projects.
• Integrate cloud-based SCADA solutions for customer-specific projects.
• Troubleshoot SCADA and communication systems as needed.
• Follow technical standards and collaborate with the SCADA Architect on scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior SCADA engineers and assist with their development.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to project management.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant technical or engineering experience, preferably in renewable energy (solar, BESS, wind).
• Experience with SCADA platforms; familiarity with Inductive Automation Ignition is a plus.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA/DA, DNP-3).
• Proficiency in Python, networking basics, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Understanding of power systems and electrical schematics is a plus.
• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical).
