Why this is a big deal…

The Operations Department is hiring a Salesforce Business Analyst to identify and implement technology and process improvements across GRID’s various department and regional office projects. The Operations Department supports the efforts of GRID Alternative’s organizational units and regional offices to increase operational efficiency. A major element of this work is managing the organization’s Salesforce instance and the suite of related software that it supports. The role will integrate a solid understanding of Salesforce configuration with the critical thinking, analysis and project management skills necessary to make the technology work for the organization.

  • Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.

The Opportunity…

  • Serve as project manager for the discovery, ideation, delivery, training and measurement of high-level organization-wide initiatives
  • Support maintaining and updating configuration of Salesforce instance
  • Provide guidance and decision-making on key data and improve reporting capabilities
  • Resolve wide range of internal cases tracked using Salesforce
  • Help resolve problems, bugs, and questions from various staff
  • Document new/existing processes across departments to assist with onboarding, training, and process changes
  • Provide training across departments and offices for implementation or change of tools, processes, and best practices nationally.
  • Assist with change management by integrating new tools, policies and procedures into existing tools and workflows and updating training documentation

What You Need To Bring To This Role…

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring Salesforce, including flows, security controls, lightning app, etc.
  • Experience with integrating various tools and platforms
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new stakeholders, their business needs, and technologies
  • Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with consistent and thorough documentations
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites, Google Workplace and other software GRID commonly uses

It would be great if you also had…

  • Passion for sustainability, affordable housing, the environment, or environmental justice, or just generally grounded in making the world a better place
  • Knowledge and experience establishing Data Strategy
  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce Apex
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (CRT-101)

Where you will sit & the places you may go…

This is remote or location flexible at any of our regional offices. Some travel may be required to regional offices and special projects when necessary. Availability to work nights and weekends may rarely be required.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience within the pay band of ($57k – $106k annually) plus the benefits listed below.
