Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to join our team as a Sales Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to build and maintain the day-to-day operations for a well-run sales team.

This position requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in identifying obstacles and overcoming problems, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of sales processes and strategies.

Job Responsibilities

Building of Systems and Processes: Develop and implement SOPs, documentation, and flow charts for new systems and processes. Utilize Solar Insures software, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and other applications, to empower the sales team.

Lead Management: Design and implement an effective lead management system, ensuring accurate tracking, distribution, and follow-up processes.

Technology Management: Manage the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of sales technology solutions, including CRM systems, lead management tools, and other sales-related applications. Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of sales technologies.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and effective lead-generation campaigns. Coordinate the development and distribution of sales-related marketing collateral and materials. Work closely with the engineering, product, finance, and executive teams to implement new processes into the sales process.

Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the sales team.

Sales Technology Optimization: Regularly assess and optimize the use of sales technologies to ensure they are meeting the needs of the sales team and the broader organization.

Compliance Management: Ensure all sales processes and activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

Strategic Planning: Assist the VP of Sales in developing strategic initiatives to drive sales growth and operational efficiency.

Team Building: Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales operations team.

Executive Reporting: Prepare and present reports and analyses to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Support the VP of Sales in territory planning to ensure the right reps are assigned to the right territories to hit targets.
  • Support the VP of Sales in capacity planning to determine the need for hiring to meet sales goals.
  • Support the VP of Sales in quota planning to set expectations for sales rep performance based on forecast targets.
  • Compile data to guide the direction of the sales team.
  • Report on inbound and outbound leads in Salesforce.
  • Report on sales metrics and account performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive sales reports and dashboards, providing insights into pipeline, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to sales leadership.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Ensure excellence in our delivery of Tier 1 customer support admin tasks. If applicable, manage or work closely with the Partner Success Associate role responsible for those tasks.
  • Able to effectively influence all stakeholders, inside and outside our organization, in a way that is consistent with our company values of respect, transparency, mission focus, and delivery of outstanding results.
  • Ensure that Solar Insures suspension process is maintained on a regular basis.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training for the sales team on new processes, products, or programs, ensuring the field teams proficiency in rollout.
  • Assist the VP of Sales in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team. Identify and address skill gaps through targeted training and development programs.

Sales Roadmap Management:

  • Organize the projects of sales initiatives in a structured environment to ensure each project is launched and executed effectively to support the sales team.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales roadmap outlining key initiatives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure all sales initiatives are properly planned, resourced, and executed to achieve the desired outcomes.

Project Management:

  • Capturing all relevant project data, tracking projects successfully through completion with the utmost accuracy and relevance.
  • Proficient user of modern project management tools like Trello, Jira, Microsoft Planner, Asana, Monday.com, and CRM systems.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Adaptable and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of handling multiple projects and switching gears effectively.
  • Proficient in multitasking and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using office productivity software like Google Workspace, Salesforce, and HubSpot. Experienced in utilizing data analysis and visualization tools, including spreadsheets and business intelligence software.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy and/or the fintech industry is required.
  • Excel in data management, pulling reports, and managing reports using Google Sheets and Google Docs.
  • Proven ability in managing multiple projects, daily sales operations and administrative action items with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A background in finance, insurance, or similar fields is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Administration, Sales Operations, Data Analysis, Product Marketing, or within the Solar Industry. Proven track record in creating and implementing SOPs, standardizing workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple account management projects simultaneously while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Experienced in supporting clients, analyzing accounts, and executing upsell/cross-sell strategies.
  • Proven track record of successful remote work, showcasing adaptability and productivity in a remote environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Travel This position may require occasional travel to various locations for business-related purposes including training, quarterly meetings, and trade shows.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
