Job Description

Objective: The Sales Account Manager aims to achieve specific tactical and strategic quotas within a designated geographical territory focused on Aerospace and Defense Customers.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain multi-level relationships with customers.
  • Provide market intelligence and prospect assigned accounts.
  • Introduce and present products and services to potential clients.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Manage performance of assigned accounts (delivery, quality, contract).
  • Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Develop tools (both electronic and conventional) to effectively represent, manage, support, and promote our organization to assigned customers.

Essential Duties:

  • Build and maintain profitable and professional relationships with customers through organized and focused programs.
  • Promote new business opportunities and implement long-term strategies for repeat business.
  • Identify, establish, train, and manage new representatives/agents and assist existing ones in creating new business opportunities for Acme Aerospace Inc.
  • Drive sales growth through regular travel, close customer contact, technical assistance, and product support.
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to the Business Unit Manager and VP of Sales for forecasting purposes.
  • Collaborate with the sales, manufacturing, and engineering teams on new product endeavors.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals for customer RFQs for both military and commercial programs.
  • Identify, propose, and close potential sales within the assigned territory.
  • Manage customer accounts and promote the sale of Energy Storage (FNC Batteries, Lithium Batteries, and Battery Electronics) and Power Conversion products (static inverters, frequency converters, TRUs, light dimmers, and custom power supplies) to OEM and Aftermarket, Commercial, and Military customers.
  • Present yearly Sales/Business Plans to the President, VP of Operations, and VP of Sales, including goals, key customers, competitors, and strategies to increase sales revenue and product support.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate CRM database records of customer activities through daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
  • Travel extensively throughout the territory to present PowerPoint presentations, engage in technical discussions, and negotiate contracts with customers and representatives to expand sales revenue.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry, advertising sales, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of Aerospace and Defense Technical Sales experience.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment with high self-motivation.
  • Collaborative mindset, working effectively with engineering, service, marketing, customer care, and related teams.
  • A four-year college degree.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time or more.
