Boulder County Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience (OSCAR) is seeking to hire a Residential Decarbonization Fellow. OSCAR vision is a sustainable, just, and resilient community where all people and natural systems thrive. With 24% of our greenhouse gas emissions coming from the residential sector, we are seeking to hire a Residential Decarbonization Fellow to support our EnergySmart program and efforts to achieve our countywide goal of an 80% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. EnergySmart is dedicated to providing residents and homeowners in Boulder County with technical assistance, financial incentives, and other resources necessary to implement building electrification, decarbonization and energy efficiency projects. EnergySmart is increasing its focus on equity and community engagement, particularly for people of color, low-income and other historically and currently marginalized households. The Residential Decarbonization Fellow will play a supporting role in our efforts to innovate and drive large scale change.This is an hourly, non-benefited position with an anticipated end date of January 17th, 2025. This position will work a flexible schedule that will work 20 -30 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. There may be occasional need to work after 4:30 pm or on weekends, and additional hours may be available depending on funding availability. This position will work out of 2020 13th St, Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work. Hiring Salary Range: $28.67 – $29.39 Hourly Tentative Hiring Timeline: First Round Interviews: July 16thSecond Round Interviews: July 22ndLanguage Proficiency Test: July 29thReference Check: July 29th Boulder County employees may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Support residents with accessing resources and rebates through EnergySmart programmingHelp create and maintain outreach collateral and other supporting documentsResearches various programmatic initiatives for sustainability, resilience, and climate action servicesOutreach to underrepresented or disproportionally impacted residents and communities within Boulder CountyRepresents the county at relevant meetings, conferences, fairs, and events, including presenting information regarding county sustainability programsPromotes, schedules, and presents on public engagement efforts like EnergySmarts induction lending programPerforms related work, as requiredMay be reassigned during emergency situations

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
