Renewable Energy Consultant, Solar and Energy Storage
Position Overview
The Renewable Energy Consultant will assist in providing renewable energy project reviews and technical due diligence to support the advisory team. The role will contribute to the technical review of renewable energy projects and portfolios for investors, financing parties, developers, and project owners.
Location: This is a hybrid role based in Golden, CO, Seattle, WA, or Saratoga Springs, NY.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical review of renewable energy projects for potential investors, developers, and project owners.
- Contribute to writing and reviewing due diligence and independent engineering reports.
- Develop skills in a core area of expertise as well as cross-train in different technical field such as technology reviews (wind/solar/storage), construction and equipment supply contracts, operating contracts, civil engineering, permitting, and financial model reviews.
- With support and training, complete technical site visits of wind/solar/storage projects at various levels of development, construction, and operation.
- Responsible for the on-time, on-quality and on-budget delivery of tasks assigned to you.
- Maintain and improve internal project databases and information.
- This position may require up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from accredited university or college in Engineering or related technical
discipline, and,
- 3 + years of experience and/or experience in a technical aspect of renewable energy project
design or development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced degree and EIT certification preferred.
