Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The renewable energy analyst will be responsible for ensuring all renewable gas compliance requirements are fulfilled and new projects are registered in accordance with renewable program regulations. The analyst will also analyze reports to determine Roeslein Alternative Energys payments, as well as provide in-depth analysis and handle data and project management to provide decision support and facilitate operational strategy execution.

ANALYST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that current projects meet all renewable gas compliance requirements.
  • Lead onboarding registration efforts for new projects within the framework of the renewable energy programs.
  • Query, filter, organize and summarize extensive amounts of data in addition to performing statistical and econometric analysis.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs that assess company operations and production activities.
  • Build reports to assist management with decision making.
  • Seek to introduce new methods for data management, visualization, and management support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office and controlled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditionssuch as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperaturesfor short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.


KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years experience in analytics is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical information.
  • Computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required.
  • Highly proficient in Excel using macros, pivot tables, etc.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Python and SQL is strongly preferred.
  • Experience writing scripts to aggregate and filter large datasets.
  • Familiar with database/server structure and management.
  • Ability to manage and analyze data and present summarized reports.
  • Excellent written communication skills
