Summary Position Summary Looking for a motivated sales manager with 1 to 2 years of experience that wants an amazing opportunity to grow with a global company!

The Renewable Energy Sales Manager works either independently or with other Heyco Sales Personnel to aggressively sell Heyco products to the Renewable Energy/Solar and other focus markets (additional focus markets include but are not limited to White Goods, Lighting, HVAC, and Industrial Automation). Will manage and develop all geographic areas for these markets and these specific sales channels, in an ongoing effort to maximize sales. Will focus efforts on products and/or markets as specified by Heyco for these market segments. Will drive existing and new product efforts, as well as help to define marketing strategy by studying economic indicators; tracking changes in supply and demand; identifying customers and their current and future needs; monitoring competitor products and marketing strategies.

This is a remote position with 40-50% work travel time.

Salary: $80-$100k plus bonus potential.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Achieving annual sales growth that is equal to or more than what has been established by Heyco.
  • Educating and training Distributor partners and End Customers on Heyco products and services.
  • Conducting various sales calls.
  • Keeping management informed by submitting and maintaining activity and results reports.
  • Reviewing various reports/leads for new business opportunities.
  • Participating in sales meetings and other Company and Industry type events.
  • Assisting in development of sales presentations and providing reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing.
  • Collecting market research information and/or market share for products. Analyzing the market and competitive situation using existing customer, competitive and market data.
  • Assisting in development of product launch strategies including launch deliverables, brand guidelines, and dependencies.
  • Assisting in development of “tools” to measure marketing efforts and monitor marketing metrics to determine performance against goals.
  • Assisting in providing design and direction for web and other visual communications media for the company.
  • Participating, along with other departmental team members, in driving new products initiatives and buy to make programs.
  • Performing special projects and other duties as required.
  • Traveling to customers, trade shows, meetings and Heyco Toms River is estimated at 40-50% of total work time annually

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of sales and marketing experience in the Renewable Energy/Solar market or other focus market is preferred.
  • Must know Excel, Word, PowerPoint and be familiar with social media.
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of learning Heyco product lines (some technical experience desired, though not required).

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive, sit; use

hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach

with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision

abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
