Job Description

Primary Function

The Quality System & Lean Support Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of quality processes within Trina Solar. This position involves managing the Lean program, optimizing quality management systems, and coordinating Lean Improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management and Improvement of Lean Program:
    • Lead and oversee the implementation of Lean principles across the organization.
    • Coach, collect data, follow up on projects, and promote Lean practices.
    • Regularly report on Lean project progress.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) Optimization:
    • Maintain, optimize, and continuously improve the QMS for the PV module business.
    • Establish and enhance quality management processes.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO 9000+, IEC 62941, ROSH, REACH, JIS Q 8901, and other relevant standards.
  • Coordination and Training:
    • Coordinate and organize Lean Improvement training sessions for employees.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
  • Audits and Compliance:
    • Optimize both external and internal audits.
    • Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and protect sensitive information.
  • Special Projects:
    • Collaborate with leadership on special projects related to quality and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or above in quality management (preferred).
  • More than 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in solar photovoltaic modules.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9000+, IEC 62941, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

  • Protect sensitive information in accordance with organizational policy, Federal, State, and local regulations.
