Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a QA Project Manager in Richland, WA.

This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

Responsible for the management and execution of Hanford Analytical Services Quality Assurance Requirements Document (HASQARD) Revision 5 requirements from initiation through closeout in accordance with Navarro-ATL requirements. Duties include support and participation in baseline development and maintenance (technical scope and schedule), project implementation and change management, continuous process improvement activities to include lessons learned and oversight of matrix and project teams through completion of project.

Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal administrative direction, applies an extensive and diversified knowledge of Project Management principles and practices in assignments and related implementation of a new requirement set
  • Acts as a fully competent project manager in all conventional aspects of managing a project from initiation through closeout in accordance with quality standards and requirements
  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Contributes to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Applies excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management
  • Must take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities
  • Complies with Navarro-ATL policies and procedures
  • Ensures ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization’s activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field (project management, construction management, engineering, or other technical or scientific discipline) and 10-12 years of related experience (project execution or requirements implementation experience), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, software
  • General understanding of laboratory processes and requirements
  • Experience implementing the DOE/DOD Quality Systems Manual for Environmental Laboratories
  • Knowledge of EVMS

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Grade 20: $126,025 – $158,875

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
