The Position:

As part of the Project Management- group, this role serves as the commercial and logistical liaison between the HQ product lines, ESS / PV Project Management, Operations and Commissioning Managers during the project execution. Project Specialists will from time to time assume PM ownership on smaller projects under the supervision on the Sr. PM or PM leaderships members. Sr. Project Specialist role will entail prior Project Specialist experience and the demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and/or those of additional complexity and diversified scope of work.

The primary responsibility of this position is to communicate and advocate ESS project’s delivery requirements to ensure Sungrow’s manufacturing, transport and logistical performance meet customer’s on-time-delivery expectations and cost targets. In addition to the abovementioned PM duties, this position, support reporting of project stages and status, key metrics performance indicators across ESS and PV projects, individual PM metrics as outlined by PM leadershi. Supplementary responsibilities include creating, updating and distributing reports for Project Managers in the AirTable (or other designated tools), monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives to effect clear and actionable data driven decisions on transportation, logistic and storage phases and improve delivery time to the site for ESS /PV projects.

As our system evolves and matures, the position responsibilities will evolve and change to meet our business needs. The candidate will work closely with ESS/PV Project Managers, Sungrow Service team, PMO team and System Solution team in HQ to manage project execution risk during manufacturing and delivery. This position will be part of the ESS /PV Business group and report to the Director of Project Management..

Position Summary

· Develop and maintain relationships with HQ, Project Managers and Operations supporting ESS / PV business and be available to interface and communicate project delivery requirements and issues, often supporting business hours in China, as needed.

· Use Sungrow prescribed tools and applications to enter project order status consisting of Built-To-Order, Assemble-To-Order, On-Vessel, Transit to Port, Custom Clearance, Storage, Customer Delivery. Also track and manage short ships, partial ships, spares and returns and damaged goods.

· Demonstrate deep level of understanding of the project’s logistical schedule, warehouse management and work with the logistical team to execute the delivery daily. Ensure all the projects have been tracked in the system and update the project logistical information in real-time.

· Execute projects flawlessly through proactive planning, front-end and active risk reviews, frequent and timely project assessment and reporting, and effective risk management

· Adhere to project management processes and quality improvement programs targeted at enhancing operational and quality metrics

· Prepare, submit, and manage change orders between customers, partners, and suppliers and manage and communicate the scope of work & responsibilities between all project stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, sales, HQ, engineering

· Establish, maintain, and regularly update project status: schedule, delivery, milestone performance, forecast, risks, and mitigation effects on assigned projects

· Promote proactive project management through timely and accurate communications with internal partners (Project Management, Operations, Inside Sales, Credit, Sales) and external customers relative to scheduling status, expediting, change orders, logistics and financial order management.

· Serve as the customer’s advocate by relaying the appropriate level of urgency to peer contacts in the operations and escalating issues as required to management.

· Demonstrate proficiency in providing proactive support on complex orders which may include those assigned to Service Project Managers and 3rd parties.

· Perform all other duties as required by the PM leadership

· Provide early warning to the project team of potential delays in delivery performance and work with the HQ team to develop mitigation plans.

· Work closely with operation department to compile the warehouse/inventory report to evaluate the project execution flow and identify area for potential improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Project management/service business

• Minimum two (2) years’ logistics and planning

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.

• Demonstrate basic understanding of logistical costs involving overseas transport and US port selection and inland logistics decisions

Education or Desired License and Certificates:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or business

• Previous supply chain experience plus

• Previous shipping and logistics experience plus

Competencies

• Technical problem solving/analytical skills

• Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills

• Self-motivated, team player and quick learner

• Past experiences in supply chain and mass production is a strong plus.
