Delta Electronics is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our dynamic team and help manage and coordinate schedules for complex projects within the organization?

Position Summary:

The Project Scheduler will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by managing timelines, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that all project milestones are met efficiently. This individual will be responsible for receiving project schedules from Project Managers, coordinating with dispatchers, and working closely with the inside sales team on cost estimation and scheduling of third-party general construction.

As part of this role, the successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on the Dynamics 365 CRM system, enabling them to better manage project data, communication, and client interactions through the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain thorough documentation of all scheduling-related activities, ensuring that project records are complete and up to date in the Dynamics 365 CRM system.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports and schedule updates to the project team and leadership.

Schedule Management:

  • Receive project schedules and timelines from the Project Manager and ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules, identifying key milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Track project timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines and flagging any risks of delay.

Collaboration with Dispatchers:

  • Coordinate with dispatchers and ensure that project resources are properly allocated.
  • Ensure that all required personnel, equipment, and materials are available and scheduled appropriately for project execution.

Cost Estimation & Coordination with Inside Sales:

  • Collaborate with the inside sales team to obtain cost estimates for third-party general construction and other external vendors.
  • Ensure that costs are aligned with project budgets and timelines.
  • Communicate any variances between estimated and actual costs to the Project Manager.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Liaise with internal teams (engineering, procurement, operations) and external vendors to ensure that all aspects of the project are progressing as planned.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project progress, schedule changes, and any potential delays.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify scheduling conflicts and risks, and work with Project Managers to implement corrective actions.
  • Update schedules and timelines in response to unforeseen events or changes in project scope.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in project scheduling or project management, preferably in the relevant industry (e.g. IT, engineering).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and delays.
