Project Manager

My client is looking for a long term contractor to join there team ASAP as a PM for BESS Commissioning.

Join one of the world’s leading Battery Energy Storage System Developers as a Commissioning Project Manager. Oversee subcontractor and OEM activities including delivery, installation, quality assurance, testing, and startup of Battery Energy Storage Systems and Solar Coupled Power systems. Act as the Owner’s representative for on-site work, ensuring safety, quality control, and project closeout. Manage construction turnover, commissioning, and performance testing. Travel required, up to 75%. Preferred background in engineering or professional electrical career with experience in power systems commissioning, particularly with BESS. Key skills include:

• Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup
• Expertise in Li-Ion battery integration
• Commissioning process development
• Substation testing and startup
• Protection and Controls troubleshooting
• Knowledge of DC and AC systems, SCADA, and PLCs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Understanding of electrical codes and planning

Responsibilities include safety compliance, quality control inspections, energization planning, oversight of commissioning procedures, troubleshooting, documentation review, and reporting to upper management. Manage third-party relationships, testing processes, and final reporting. Physical requirements include color vision, ability to stand, walk on varied terrain, and lift at least 20 pounds.
