About Us Highland Electric Fleets is a comprehensive turnkey solutions provider that delivers electric school buses (EVSB) to school districts and third-party managed fleet providers (3PMs).

We offer a model involving financing, infrastructure, vehicle deployment, and maintenance in an easily digestible, economic format that enables EVSB acquisition at traditional diesel cost of ownership.

We aim to mitigate risk for our customers, increase EVSB market penetration, and deliver positive impacts across a broad spectrum of stakeholders: students, communities, school districts, fleet operators, manufacturers, and utilities.

The Project Manager will lead the design and construction of EV charging infrastructure projects. The role will report directly to the Director, Project Execution. This role is remotely based with a 25%-30% travel expectation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver EV charger infrastructure project on time and on budget
  • Partner with Customer Success Team to deliver excellent customer experiences
  • Select engineering consultants and construction contractors for projects
  • Negotiate and execute project-based subcontractor agreements
  • Coordinate with utilities for service upgrades and interconnection scopes of work
  • Support submission of all project permitting requirements
  • Establish and maintain project cost forecasts and actuals
  • Develop and drive detailed project schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all project and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors and peers to solve unique challenges

Qualifications

  • 4+ years office based professional experience OR a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years office based professional experience
  • 2+ years direct project management experience, preferably electrical or civil
  • EV charging infrastructure experience preferred
  • Renewable energy project experience a plus (solar, storage, microgrid)
