The Position:

A Logistics Specialist at Sungrow plays a key role in managing daily logistics operations. This includes import shipments, customs clearance, domestic ground trucking, project planning & customer communication, documentation support, inventory management, and other special projects. This role is a critical support function within the company and plays a key role in driving company growth through effective execution. This role will report to Logistics Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support daily logistics operations, such as import, domestic freight, and communications related to active shipments
  • Work with forwarders and 3PLs to track and trace shipments
  • Organized internal and external shipping documentation to support documentation compliance.
  • Focus on updating company database and inventory analysis
  • Support timely delivery status updates on international and domestics movement
  • Additional tasks assigned by direct supervisor based on business needs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics-oriented position
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel (analysis & reporting)
  • Steam ship line, freight forwarder, 3PL, & warehouse experience.

Education or Desired License and Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to international shipping, business, operations, or quantitative field from accredited university or college
  • Familiar with incoterms, ISF/Entry entry filing, trouble shoot freight hold issues
  • Interest in renewable energy, previous experience a plus, but not required

  • Mindset to work for an organization and role that is deeply entrenched in an international business routine, with work spanning across multiple countries and time zones; Previous experience at a global firm with cross functional teams; which is desired not required
  • Must possess ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Work Location and Status:

  • Full time, location can be flexible. West Coast preferred due to current staff location coverage.
