Position Overview:

The Manager of Project Finance will play a critical role in our finance team, overseeing the financial structuring, valuation, and transaction execution of our community solar projects. This individual will have a strong background in project finance, with specific expertise in tax equity transactions. The role requires a deep understanding of financial modeling, investment analysis, and the renewable energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Structuring: Lead the financial structuring of community solar projects, ensuring optimal use of tax equity and debt financing.
  • Transaction Management: Oversee all aspects of project finance transactions, including due diligence, negotiations, and closing processes.
  • Tax Equity Expertise: Manage and optimize tax equity structures to maximize financial returns and project viability.
  • Valuation & Analysis: Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation of projects to support investment decisions and secure funding.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external investors, lenders, and legal advisors to ensure successful project financing.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and financial innovations in the renewable energy sector.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project development and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project finance, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with tax equity structures and related financial instruments.
  • Transaction Experience: Proven track record in managing complex financial transactions from inception to closing.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
