About The Role

The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) will serve as the primary technical interface between vendors, customers, and subcontractors in developing project designs and coordinating with engineering subject matter experts and project stakeholders. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate competence in engineering review, practical problem-solving, strategic planning, multi-party coordination and optimizing engineering processes.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading assigned projects, overseeing the successful execution of highly technical supply agreements.
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables (e.g., calculations, design sets, RFI responses) from multiple engineering disciplines and responding to RFIs and Submittals.
  • Assessing and mitigating project risks related to product supply, documentation, certification, testing, and systems integration efforts.
  • Developing and maintaining outside engineering relationships with external companies used for engineering services (e.g., NRTLs, 3rd Party QA/QC, Consulting).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 7-10 years of related experience in utility-scale energy storage facility design, construction, and commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (UL, NEC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience working with Fire Departments, Building Departments, utilities, and ISO/RTOs.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel. Experience with ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, and Python.
