My client is a leading independent power producer that helps to support high quality utility scale solar and battery storage projects across the United States. The company is uniquely positioned to own and operate its own facilities while simultaneously supporting land management systems. Since being founded nearly 15 years ago, my client has significantly contributed to the clean energy economy, with a growing portfolio of more than 12,000 megawatts of solar and PV actively in their company pipeline. The team is looking to bring on an project developer with utility solar experience who will help support project development efforts across the company as the business continues to grow. The Project Developer will be responsible for…

  • Supporting the greater development team by playing a key role in the execution of projects from initial concept through completion.
  • Overseeing the permitting process of renewable energy projects from preparation to approvals, permits, and licenses.
  • Helping to identify potential uncertainties that might occur during the project life cycle and help to identify potential risk management strategies.
  • Maintaining key relationships with project stakeholders.

The Project Developer should have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in engineering, environmental science, economics, or business administration).
  • At least 1-5 years of experience working in the renewable energy project development space.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Impressive communication skills (both verbal and written) as well as the ability to negotiate.
