Job Description

Role: Project Development Manager

Location: East Coast (Remote)

Compensation: 150k base + 30% bonus

Company

Our client is a well-established renewable energy developer who have been operating for over a decade, focused on operating, and maintaining assets. Due to the success of the company, they are now expanding their markets across the US in C&I solar, battery energy storage systems, and community-shared solar installations. Their current pipeline of 150+ projects has been backed by $100m+ of investment, looking to add experienced talent to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of solar & energy storage project development, from origination to start of construction
  • Lead site origination, site control negotiations, project permitting, utility interconnection, and any other project development needs
  • Achieve development milestones on time and on budget for projects to successfully move into financing and construction
  • Effective communication with project stakeholders and community members to facilitate project permitting and other initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts across the project life cycle

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ renewable energy project development experience, preferably in solar
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal solar policies
  • Expertise in building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to both lead and follow in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to spend time in-person with customers and travel frequently (20-40%)
