About This Opportunity We are seeking a Program Outreach Manager, Industrial that is responsible for outreach strategy and execution for utility- offered industrial energy efficiency programs and resources. The Program Outreach Manager will lead a group of outreach professionals and energy management engineers to grow the pipeline of industrial electric energy efficiency projects. The Program Outreach Manager will also leverage their industrial network to proactively build and maintain relationships that lead to project opportunities. They will work closely with utility and program staff and act as the facilitator between industrial customers, vendors, implementation contractors, and energy efficiency service providers.

What You Will Do

  • Design and lead execution of sales outreach strategy to grow the project pipeline and meet energy savings goals
  • Lead program staff toward pipeline growth, utilizing relevant metrics to drive progress; set and track goals related to outreach activities
  • Ensure subcontractors meet performance and work quality expectations
  • Provide appropriate level of training to new outreach staff
  • Leverage and build relationships with program and support staff, as well as trade allies, contractors, and customers to deliver the industrial energy efficiency program
  • Apply consultative selling techniques and recommend various program offerings to prospective trade allies and industrial customers that are specific to their business needs and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Provide regular reporting of lead generation, project status or other data to program team members and the utility client
  • Coordinate with regional energy efficiency program stakeholders to identify areas for collaboration
  • Proactively look for opportunities to develop and enhance methods, systems, and processes to improve program delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Represent program the program at local and regional conferences and events.

This is a full-time, exempt position. This is a hybrid role, with the option of working remotely in or near the local Cascade Office located in Park Ridge, Illinois. Expected travel for this role includes local site and vendor visits in the Chicagoland and northern Illinois area; preferred, qualified candidates would reside within the region.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Energy Management, or related field or corresponding work experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience engaging the industrial sector
  • Multiple years of experience organizing and leading outreach or sales efforts
  • General knowledge and understanding of energy efficiency technologies, program, and policies with a familiarity of energy use analysis and energy auditing
  • Solid understanding of industrial process (i.e. what systems use energy, how thy use energy, and methods for reducing energy use)
  • Experience with utility funded energy efficiency or demand side management programs

A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills :

  • Working knowledge of energy efficiency opportunities related to but not limited to pumps, fans, air compressors, and refrigeration systems
  • Technical sales experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial customers, vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Working knowledge of industrial energy efficiency opportunities
  • Ability to build and maintain strong industry networks and connect people to opportunities
  • Self-directed and able to work independently as well as collaborate with others to drive execution, solve problems creatively and foster innovation among teams

Compensation & Benefits

Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include health (90% paid for team member, 70% paid for dependents on HDHP plans and 85% paid for team member, 65% paid for dependents on PPO plans), vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy. The salary range for this position in Chicago, IL is $91,400 – $135,345/year. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
