Productivity Improvement Professional

The candidate will be accountable to lead improvement projects from the identification of an opportunity through the sustainment phase, resolving process related concerns that impact our manufacturing environment.

How Youll Make an Impact

• Evaluation of current manufacturing practices, identification of improvement potential, ability to capture cost savings, and perform project management duties
• Connect with people at all levels of our organization
• Train Lean Principles during project execution
• Develop ways to analyze data and provide summary analysis to internal customers
• Assist Operational teams with visualization of Value Streams
• Evaluation of current capacity, bottle necks operations, cycle times, and takt times
• Demonstrate commitment to excellence through continual learning

What You Bring

• Ability to apply Industrial Engineering techniques and business acumen when partnering with multi-functional teams Managers, Engineers, Professionals & Shop Floor employees
• Proficiency in research, improvement, and implementation of projects that positively impact our Safety & Quality culture, schedule performance, and lower cost
• Desire and technical curiosity to understand the design of our products, how features impact design for manufacturability, material selection, and product cost
• SAP experience is desired with a demonstrated ability to evaluate drawings and component features; this experience will be used when calculating the financial impact on Design for Manufacturability
• Proficiency in problem solving techniques (5-why, Fish Bone, A3, etc.)
• Knowledge of MS office, Visio to document process flow, & Excel tools such a pivot tables
• Entry level understanding of Business KPIs & Operations Management

• Approachable, organized, active listener, clear communicator, collaborative, customer-focused

Education

• BS in Industrial Engineering

Productivity & Improvement Project Team We facilitate and lead projects across LGN (Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Fort Payne, etc.) campuses to implement effective, lasting change. We are problem solvers, project managers, educational leaders, continuous improvement experts, transformation catalysis, digitalization enthusiasts, and coaches to both management and shop floor employees alike. Our role is to incorporate the strategy at every level of the organization. In partnership with team members in this manufacturing environment, we help find opportunities to improve daily operations that impact the bottom line.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
