Title: Production Operator I

Department: Production

Location: Wilmer, Texas


Production Operator I Overview:

Production Operator I will be responsible for driving and executing the day-to-day work of the production line while ensuring that quality and safety standards are met. Production Operator I continuously monitor the performance and efficiency of production equipment and communicate with the Line Leader about any line issues.

Production Operator I Responsibilities:

  • Communicate production information to Line Leader and fellow Operators
  • Performs all duties in a safe, reliable and efficient manner as instructed by the Line Leader
  • Verifies that the correct material is being consumed at the production line according to the Build of Materials
  • Identify and record acceptable and defective products
  • Assembles, inspects, and cleans solar modules per work instructions
  • Operate and conduct continuous monitoring of automated machinery
  • Perform continuity testing using a meter
  • Connect cables and wires to complete assemblies and installation
  • Perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions to ensure product quality
  • Clean machines, tools, and equipment

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, manuals and instructions
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
