About the Company

Plant level knowledge is vital to satisfying the food production needs from projected a forty percent increase in world population over the next thirty years. We support that goal by continuously and automatically assessing the health and performance of the worlds +$1T specialty crops, one plant at a time, with deep learning and imaging. Currently, Bloomfield is focused on wine, table, and juice grapes as well as, more recently, blueberries. Our portable Flash cameras and supporting platform capture, geo-locate and share the condition of each vine, tree and bush, along with the various features of that plant. This information, in turn, informs a variety of decisions and actions that growers take every day to increase the size, quality and consistency of yields and doing so without increasing the resources used to produce those yields.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager to lead the product development process for our grower-facing crop scouting service. You will work closely with our AI, Infrastructure, and Front-End teams to plan and deliver new features for our expanding customer base while coordinating closely with our business development and operations teams to assure we are meeting the needs of our customers and partners. You are expected to be the voice of our customers inside the organization and be the voice of the organization to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the strategy and execution for our grower-facing product
• Facilitate collaboration between our AI, Infrastructure, and Front-End teams to introduce new features, manage the product backlog, and prioritize tasks
• Work with customer success and business development teams to nurture and manage customer relationships
• Create and oversee project project delivery plans
• Collaborate with the management team to ensure that product goals align with overall business objectives
• Drive the development of new products in emerging crops and geographic regions

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• 4+ years in software product management
• Located in Pittsburgh, PA or willing to relocate
• Experience in AgTech is preferred
• Deep experience in working directly with customers who have used your product
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience managing a product backlog across multiple teams
• Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
• Willingness to travel to customer locations (approximately 10%)
