Power Systems Engineer

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Our client, a leading provider of innovative and high-quality energy generation systems and solutions, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Power Systems Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with clients to know their energy needs. Then you would design, build and implement the energy generation system that best suits their needs.

You should possess a solid understanding of distributed energy systems, connections between utilities and facilities, construction practices, electrical engineering design, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems and power electronics.
  • 10+ years of experience in power system design within a product or project development engineering role. Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential.
  • Familiarity with distribution design software, National Electric Safety Code, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of medium voltage distribution and transmission systems is preferred.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to support initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using common software applications for routine tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a considerate approach.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.

Optimal Experience:

  • 2+ years of field service experience in sectors such as military, industrial, commercial, utility, or mission-critical environments.
  • Hands-on experience with integrating battery storage or microgrid solutions into complex electrical systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with International Building Code, International Fire Code, and other relevant industry standards is preferred.
