Power Electronics Engineer – Renewable Energy

Lumicity, in partnership with a rapidly expanding renewables company, is seeking talented individuals to join their power electronics department.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of an exciting new project within the renewable energy sector, backed by a reputable brand.

We are looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about advancing renewable energy technologies and are eager to contribute to the development of innovative power electronics systems.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop power electronics systems tailored for renewable energy applications, with a focus on solar energy.

– Utilize your expertise in power conversion and DC-DC converters to optimize system efficiency and performance.

– Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery, ensuring that products meet technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

– Conduct thorough testing and validation of power electronics designs, identifying and resolving any performance or reliability issues.

– Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to facilitate the production and deployment of power electronics products.

– Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power electronics design, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Essential Skills & Experience:

– Proven commercial experience in the design of power electronics systems, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering successful projects.

– Solid background in power conversion, with expertise in DC-DC converters and other relevant power electronics technologies.

– Experience working on projects that have shipped products to market, showcasing your ability to translate design concepts into real-world solutions.

– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

– Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. PHD beneficial
