Essential Duties:

Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the equipment at this facility. Will unload and store raw materials, run reaction equipment, load out product, manage all required paperwork and reports for inventory and shipping, troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs, as necessary. Any employee at this facility may specialize in one or more phases of the operation but must be capable of performing all essential duties.

  • Offloads incoming acid into storage tanks and offloads incoming rock to storage area
  • Operates all process equipment related to manufacture of liquid calcium chloride
  • Loads trucks and rail cars with liquid product
  • Completes all paperwork associated with acceptance of raw materials and shipment of product
  • Manages inventory of raw materials and product
  • Operates front-end loader and forklift as needed
  • Trouble shoots equipment malfunctions and initiates repairs to mechanical and electrical systems as required
  • Installs piping, valves, instruments, and equipment as needed
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment and instrumentation
  • Responsible for driving company vehicle to check on offsite tanks
  • Ability to use volt meters and other electrical test equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace block valves, control valves, solenoid valves, valve positioners, and pneumatic actuators
  • Demonstrate ability to repair and maintain pumps such as centrifugal, mag drive, diaphragm, and metering pumps. To include troubleshooting, rebuilding, and alignments of shafts and motors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot general industrial devices such as inductive motors and photo-eyes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of related experience
  • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Drivers License
  • TRAVEL: 25%
  • OTHER:
    • Must be a self-starter, self-directed person, capable of working with minimal supervision
    • Must have electrical background with sufficient troubleshooting skills with industrial equipment and any mechanical knowledge/experience is a bonus
    • Must be capable of accurately completing all aspects of receiving and shipping documentation, and internal Company inventory and recordkeeping documentation
    • Must effectively utilize multiple various computer software programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.
