Solar Performance Engineer | Renewable Energy (Solar) | Connecticut, USA (Remote)

My client is seeking a talented Performance Engineer to join their team in New Haven, CT, to contribute to the optimization of their renewable energy systems. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of my client’s renewable energy systems. You will be responsible for analyzing and improving the performance of their solar energy installations through data analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze performance data from solar energy systems to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct performance assessments and diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting energy production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and project management to implement performance improvements.
  • Develop and maintain performance models and simulations to forecast energy production and optimize system design.
  • Prepare performance reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in performance analysis and optimization of renewable energy systems, with a focus on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as PVsyst
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
