PE Associate, Renewables & Decarbonization

Madison Hunt is partnering with a leading private equity firm specializing in decarbonization and renewable energy investments. Having recently closed an oversubscribed middle-market fund, the firm is expanding its Houston team to bolster its investment strategy across the energy transition space, encompassing early-stage growth opportunities and traditional buyouts.

The firm focuses on industrial decarbonization and renewable energy, targeting sectors such as manufacturing, energy efficiency, green fuels, hydrogen, electrification, and food and agriculture. Leveraging its operational expertise, the firm seeks to scale companies that significantly reduce global carbon emissions and accelerate the transition to clean energy. They are currently recruiting an Investment Associate to join their team.

This position is available for either a near-term or Summer 2025 start date

Qualifications:

• 1-4 years of relevant professional experience in an investment banking coverage group and/or a direct investing role
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Proven ability to evaluate investment opportunities and conduct due diligence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for sustainability, decarbonization initiatives, and renewable energy
