Position: Sales Manager, Americas Utility Energy Team

Location: Flexible (Palo Alto, CA or Austin, TX Preferred)

About the Role

EVE’s Americas Utility Energy Team is at the forefront of the energy revolution, focusing on developing front-of-the-meter battery energy storage systems (BESS) for a wide range of customers, including electric utilities, independent power producers, and renewable energy developers. We are involved in large-scale BESS projects that enable renewable energy integration, enhance grid capacity, and offer vital grid services.

As a Sales Manager, you will drive projects from inception to contract execution, leveraging the full capabilities of EVE’s energy products. Your role will be crucial in leading the sales cycle, from opportunity identification and project development to contract negotiations and closure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse project pipeline across various states and market segments.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle, ensuring the achievement of annual sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Conduct in-depth techno-economic analyses of project opportunities, optimizing technical and commercial factors and differentiating EVE’s offerings from competitors.
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with customers, and negotiate and close contracts effectively.
  • Provide timely reports to management and generate high-quality project proposals in response to complex utility RFPs.

What We Look For

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in the renewable energy or power sector.
  • Proven track record in sales or business development within customer-facing roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of battery systems, renewable power, and grid markets.
  • Skilled in hands-on contract negotiations within the energy storage or renewables sector.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to handle complex pricing models and project economics.
  • Excellent communication abilities, with fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passion for promoting sustainable energy solutions.
  • Ability to travel as needed and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits

EVE offers a highly competitive salary range of $64,000 – $258,000 annually, supplemented with cash and stock awards. From day one, you’ll be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including:
