Job Summary:

The Operations Manager for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), with a background in Utilities, will oversee all operational aspects of PPAs, ensuring compliance, optimizing performance, and managing stakeholder relationships. This strategic role demands a deep understanding of both renewable energy markets and utility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management:

– Supervise the execution and administration of PPAs, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

– Manage amendments and renewals of existing agreements to align with operational goals.

2. Operational Oversight:

– Monitor PPA performance to achieve financial and operational targets.

– Implement strategies for optimizing PPA performance and profitability.

– Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to maintain operational efficiency.

3. Stakeholder Management:

– Act as the primary liaison for PPA partners, including energy producers, utility companies, and customers.

– Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

– Address and resolve issues or disputes promptly to maintain operational continuity.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

– Ensure all PPA activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

– Stay abreast of regulatory changes and adjust operational practices as necessary.

5. Financial Management:

– Develop and manage budgets for PPA operations, tracking financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.

– Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue collection processes.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

– Analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for operational enhancement.

– Prepare regular reports on PPA performance for senior management, utilizing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

7. Team Leadership:

– Lead and mentor a team responsible for PPA operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

– Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities to team members.

Qualifications:

– Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

– Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on the energy sector.

– Comprehensive knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements and the renewable energy market.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders.

– Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

– Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

– Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
