We are currently hiring a Operations Manager for our client in the Appleton, WI area.
Job Summary
As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations to lead field operations at Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise project updates to management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facility Management:
- Demonstrating an advanced level of operating competency for facilities while Monitoring and maintaining operating variables within the normal range to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Demonstrating an advanced level of operating competency for facilities
- Monitoring online analyzers and lab data for product specifications.
- Performing minor mechanical and maintenance activities. Including leading troubleshooting efforts.
- Coordinating de-pressuring, draining, flushing, and purging of equipment.
- Controlling the unit during normal and abnormal operations and preventing and correcting all operational issues.
- Providing work approval for work permits and high-risk tasks as required.
- Overseeing the preparation of process equipment for maintenance.
- Covering operational shifts when necessary.
- Performing required environmental inspections.
- Creating, reviewing, editing, and performing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Inventorying all chemicals, operations supplies, and product inventories.
- Approving work orders in the maintenance management system.
- Communicating with outside vendors and customers.
Staffing and Leadership:
- Train and lead a high-performing operations staff.
- Develop work and on-call schedules for teams.
- Leading safety meetings using relevant materials with the work group.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Reviewing and signing off on operational logbooks.
Experience: 5 years minimum of related experience in anaerobic digestion, biogas, renewable natural gas, natural gas processing, or related field
Required Skills:
- Proficient in computer use, including MS Office products
- Technical education or training for rotating and fixed equipment
- Troubleshooting and commissioning experience

Work Environment: The position will be located in a field environment subject to a variety of weather and other conditions expected in construction locations
