The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of the EIG Quality Chain Management System at the plant level. Controls all products and processes in the plant, through strict adherence to policies, specifications, and standards. This position is also responsible for the RMA group to ensure customer returns are handled expeditiously and to track trends for quality issues. Also responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering group on production processes and documentation to drive an efficient, cost effective workplace.
Salary for this position is $140k based on experience.
- Develops and implements a quality system, ensuring both compliance to high standards and a quality focused workforce, including the design, programs, standards and methodologies for the assurance of quality production.
- Ensure that the operations, processes and procedures that affect products quality and/or integrity comply with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, including but not limited to: customer complaints, quality metrics, approval and release of finished products, incoming inspection of raw materials, management reviews, internal audit program, corporate, and customer audits, quality holds, customer notifications, market corrections or withdrawals, non-conformance and CAPA system, quality support for Design Control and New Product Introduction, Change Control, Customer requests and interactions (C of As, Quality Surveys, Quality Agreements)
- Maintain documentation and internal audit program to ensure ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance.
- Maintain documentation and processes to ensure UL compliance. Work with external auditor during monthly audits.
- Interface with suppliers and contract manufacturers on all quality related issues and hold them accountable to meet our quality standards
- Oversee all aspects of inspection and strive to eliminate or reduce inspection based on inspection records and data pulled from our ERP system.
- Retrieve data from our ERP system to hold QBRs, MRMs and drive improvements in Quality as stated by Corporate requirements.
- Manages the Quality group to ensure data is reviewed for incoming inspection, production and Returns to drive continuous improvement in these areas using data driven decision and implementation of corrective actions to eliminate repeat quality issues
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, and/or other ISO standards
- UL, CE, RoHS, REACH, NEMA and/or other compliances standards
- 8+ Years experience in a Quality/Manufacturing Engineering role
- Experience leading/supervising subordinates, performance management systems and with handling disciplinary issues
- Must have worked in a manufacturing environment with ISO9001 standards
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
- Must have experience with ERP system and QMS systems
- NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
