Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support various aspects of renewable and dispatchable energy transition projects across the U.S. This role will involve site evaluation, project development, permitting support, and assistance with contracting and financial closing, as well as construction support when needed. The position requires collaboration with internal and external teams to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating potential sites for energy project development, focusing on site layouts and civil characteristics.
- Review and provide input on project stormwater designs and related permit applications.
- Analyze geotechnical reports and foundation designs, offering technical assessments of geotechnical aspects.
- Collaborate closely and communicate effectively with internal teams and external consultants, including engineering and environmental teams.
- Keep management updated on project status, key action items, and budget tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the energy sector, with a preference for solar and/or wind power generation experience.
- Expertise in stormwater design and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) best management practices.
- Proven experience evaluating geotechnical reports and foundation design assessments.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and capable of working with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with computer applications, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in facilitation.
- Ability to gather, organize, and analyze complex data systematically.
- Knowledge and competency in energy generation systems, design, and contracting.
- Solid understanding of design drawings, GIS, and spatial modeling/analysis tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% as required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and financial credit check.
