Job Description

Scope of Position:

EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. We deliver grid-scale power: wind (onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and storage projects; distribution-scale power: solar and storage; asset optimization: technical, operational, and commercial expertise to maximize the performance of generating projects, and onsite solutions, through the Companys PowerFlex affiliate, offering a full suite of onsite energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers: solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids.

This position works closely with various departments throughout the organization with respect to the drafting needs of Land Contracts, Leases, Easements, and Purchase Agreements in compliance with policies and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to draft agreements including leases, lease amendments, easements, purchase agreements, and other land related documents and agreements and working with internal/external counsel; keeping in compliance with corporate policies and procedures while balancing unique needs of differing jurisdictions.
  • Review commercial lease terms, analyze and interpret provisions.
  • Organize and manage contract review and the approval and execution process for 50-100 contracts, leases, purchase agreements that are in process at any given time.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Land Contracts and VP Land Community Engagement.

Working Conditions:

90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 10% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors and/or internal customers sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial leasing and purchasing.
  • BA or equivalent experience; renewable energy/cell tower experience helpful.
  • Real estate paralegal certificate preferred or 5 years experience with real estate documents.
  • Experience in conducting due diligence for property acquisitions (review of leases, title reports, environmental reports, surveys, etc.).
  • Must be detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This roles annual base salary range is between $64,000 and $106,500.
