Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for securing landowner lease agreements to support renewable energy project development. This requires representing PRC Wind by building positive relationships with landowners and communities, demonstrating strong knowledge of real estate, and leveraging excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Site Acquisition

  • Work with landowners to negotiate and obtain executed lease agreements for renewable energy projects
  • Build relationships and educate landowners and communities on the benefits of wind energy
  • Contact landowners and schedule in-person appointments using contact list provided; research and find additional contact information as needed
  • Introduce our company, the wind project, and Lease/Easement Agreement
  • Understand and explain the Wind Energy Lease and Easement Agreements for the potential project
  • Acquire landowner signatures on Leases/Easements and notarize signatures on Memorandum with a goal to acquire signatures in as few meetings as possible
  • Secure approval for any Lease variations (Exhibit C Coordination with Landlord)
  • Submit signed/notarized Agreements for recording
  • Acquire Title Search information as needed/requested

Landowner & Community Relations

  • Develop a strategy for community adoption of the renewable energy project
  • Host approved project gatherings (meetings, open houses, coffee discussions) on renewable energy and the project
  • Organize/coordinate/participate in landowner meetings
  • Educate potential landowners on the benefits of renewable energy projects
  • Build rapport with landowners and solicit introductions to other landowners
  • Find and cultivate local Project Champions that can be utilized as advocates
  • Find opportunities for PRC Wind to support the community through various sponsorships
  • Represent PRC Wind and the project with the highest of ethics

Project Management

  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Continuously improve the PRC Wind Land Agent capabilities
  • Create and maintain excellent documentation notes of progress using WWV database
  • Communicate with project developers regarding land targets
  • Guide contract land agents and local project staff on project deliverables, as needed
  • Provide weekly status reports to the team

Other Project as Assigned

  • This position may take on other projects/tasks as needed by the business

Qualifications:

  • Experience in real estate contracts and their negotiation in the renewable acquisition space a plus.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and follow up contact
  • Public speaking at small events with landowners and company staff
  • Strong sales background with a customer service-minded approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and positive approach.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
