PRIMARY FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Quality Specialist, the IPQA technician will oversee that in-process quality control of the production line is adhered to.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training and assisting with the development of Level 1 technicians.
  • Perform routine Quality Inspections and Audits throughout the production line to assess and report on both product and process adherence to company’s quality management system documents, technical documents, and other related documents.
  • Conduct a variety of daily lab tests (tensile strength, chemical testing, etc.) on in-process samples according to sampling plan.
  • Responsible for isolating, labeling, and classifying non-conforming products from the production line.
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications and use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Prepare samples according to test requirements.
  • Ensure lab equipment and inspection gauges are operating properly and is calibrated correctly by following Companys calibration requirements.
  • Appropriately record inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into quality database.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED minimum.
  • At least 1 – 2 years of previous QA/QC experience in quality, manufacturing or other related fields. (Previous experience in solar manufacturing a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with SOPs.
  • Previous knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC 62941 and Quality Auditing preferred but not required.
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
  • Ensure safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fostered.
  • Practical knowledge of general computer software like (MS Outlook, Office, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools i.e., calipers, micrometers.
  • Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to convert into units.
